Humboldt’s Friday Fishing Report 10/28/2016
Eureka – The fishing at Cape Mendocino the past two days has been very productive. With Rockfishing closing on the 31st and the current ocean forecast, it looks like today will be the last Cape trip for the 2016 season.
Trinidad – The ocean has been large for the past week, preventing most anglers from fishing. The bite remains slow and never really picked up throughout this season.
Smith – The Smith is spitting out some monster King Salmon over the past week. The flows dropped to a manageable level today and should be fish-able through the weekend.
Mad River – There were a few decent fishing days on the Mad river this past week with some decent Steelhead landed.
Eel River – The Eel is still too muddy to fish and isn’t expected to clear for a few weeks.
