Humboldt’s Friday Fishing Report 10/9/2015
Chetco Bubble Season
The Chetco Bubble season in Brookings started on October 1st and closes on October 11th. The fishing has been very productive with many trophy fish being caught. The largest Salmon so far weighed in at 47 pounds!
Fish are transitioning from the Lower Klamath to the upper Klamath. Fishing should be hot next week on the upper Klamath as the Salmon keep pushing upstream.
Salmon fishing has been difficult with minimal success, but Steelhead fishing has been great for bank fishermen tossing spinners or bait.
Rockfish/ Ling Cod
The weather forecast will likely prevent most anglers from going out this weekend. The Cape was HOT the past few days with easy limits for all. Trinidad was also productive and there are large balls of smelt hanging around.
