Humboldt’s Friday Fishing Report 11/6/2015
Klamath – The Klamath Steelhead Derby is set for Sunday November 8th at Happy Camp. Anyone with a fishing license and necessary tags are welcome to enter. For Salmon, most anglers have shifted their attention to other river systems but large Salmon continue to trickle in.
Smith – The Smith opened up for the first time last Sunday with the first big rains. The fishing was great with a nice grade of fish when the river was open. The Smith is expected to reopen on Sunday and should provide anglers with a great option.
Trinity – The Steelhead fishing on the Trinity River has been decent in the Junction City area. Last weekends rain provided anglers with a couple great fishing days and the upcoming storm will likely raise the water levels enough to improve the fishing.
Ocean Salmon fishing season closes on Sunday November 8th. Although the fishing has not been fantastic some boats have been successful. Most success has been with light gear and live bait.
