Humboldt’s Friday Fishing Report 2/12/2016

Reports

Salmon/Steelhead

Smith – The Smith is producing Steelhead and the water conditions are close to perfect. Most anglers are catching fish throughout the river system.

Trinity – The Trinity river fishing has been decent but not hot. Most of the fish in the system have spawned so there are not many fresh chrome Steelhead around.

Eel/South Fork -Since the water has turned green, most anglers fishing the South Fork have been successful in landing Steelhead. The main-stem of the Eel was the last to clear but has still produced a good amount of Steelhead in the past few days and should only get better. Bait has been the ticket with one report of 7 Steelhead landed in the Leggett area.

Mad – The Mad river has been very productive with one report on Thursday of 15 Steelhead landed from the shore on bait. The fish are hanging out in pockets and has been a mix of fresh and spawned Steelhead being caught.
