Humboldt’s Friday Fishing Report 3/18/2016

Reports

Salmon/Steelhead

Smith – The Smith river provides the best conditions for anglers pursuing Steelhead in Humboldt County. Reports have been of mixed success with a few fresh fish being caught but mostly spawned out fish making their way back down.

Eel/South Fork – Both the South Fork and main stem of the Eel river are still too high and muddy to provide anglers with any chance of success. The rain coming this weekend is expected to keep the water levels high and unfishable.

Mad – The Mad river is still too brown to fish, with the upcoming rain this weekend it is not expected to reopen anytime soon.
