Humboldt’s Friday Fishing Report 3/4/2016

Reports

Salmon/Steelhead

Smith – The Smith water levels are prime today after Wednesdays rainfall. The influx of water should move the fish around and potentially bring some fresh fish into the river system.

Trinity -Fishing has slowed down on the Trinity. The water is decent but not many fish have been reported.

Eel/South Fork – The Eel is still fairly large and is expected to blow out again this weekend with the incoming rain. The South Fork has been productive with a nice mix of fresh and spawned-out fish. Anglers have had the best success between Myers Flat and the Forks. The rain this weekend should make the South Fork un-fishable until late next week.

Mad – The rain on Wednesday was enough to muddy the water and prevent most anglers from fishing. The Mad river is not expected to clear until next weekend at the earliest.
