Humboldt’s Friday Fishing Report 6/24/2016
Rockfish – Rockfishing has been excellent from Shelter Cove up to the Cape and finally Trinidad’s Lingcod bite has turned on. Easy limits with a nice grade of fish was reported out of Trinidad on Thursday, with one 40″ Ling caught by kayak.
Salmon – The Salmon bite out of Eureka is the best bet for landing a King Salmon. A few nice sized Salmon were reported caught inside of the Humboldt Bay and anglers reported having success in only 50ft of water directly south of the Jetties. The Salmon action out of Shelter cove was great earlier this week but has slowed down in the past couple days. The Salmon bite out of Trinidad remains slow with a few fish being caught here and there.
Dungeness Crab – Dungeness crab fishing has slowed down and has not been as hot as the past few weeks.
