Humboldt’s Friday Fishing Report 7/22/2016

Reports

Oceans:

Rockfish – The Rockfishing has been steady along the Humboldt coast with the best action between Shelter Cove and the Cape. There have been some nice sized Lingcod caught over the past few days in the 20lb range.

Salmon – The Salmon bite out of Eureka has been phenomenal since Saturday. Anglers have been catching limits of nice sized fish from inside the jaws to just outside of the south Jetty. Many anglers fishing off the Jetties are catching limits throwing Spoons. The bite out of Shelter cove is also heating up with most boats catching limits for the past couple days. The Trinidad Salmon bite has been hit or miss this past week with fish caught, but nowhere near as good as the fishing out of Eureka or Shelter Cove.

California Halibut – The California Halibut bite in the Humboldt Bay remains hot. Multiple keepers have been caught over the past week along the Samoa Bridge. The ticket has been live bait in 12-25ft of water.
