Humboldt’s Friday Fishing Report 7/8/2016

Reports

Oceans:

Rockfish – Rockfishing has been stellar throughout Humboldt County. The bite has been red hot out of Shelter Cove and the Cape with a little more effort needed for limits out of Trinidad.

Salmon – The Salmon bite out of Shelter Cove has picked up this week with a very nice grade of fish. Most fish were caught by the Old Man but some big Salmon were caught inside the Red Can in 50 feet of water.

Halibut – Halibut fishing has been decent this week with a few fish caught here and there. Fishing was slow out of Trinidad yesterday until the tides turned and the bite turned on. After the tide turned, there were reports of multiple fish in the box up to 60 pounds!

Dungeness Crab – Dungeness crab fishing has slowed down and has not been as hot as the previous few weeks.
