Klamath River/ Trinity River Fishing Report 9/24/2014

Klamath / Trinity Rivers Rising and Rain

The Trinity River emergency flows stimulated fall salmon and steelhead to run upstream and began to ramp down (see Lewiston Dam flow) around 9/22/2014. Now we are having a short rain event (see Weather Forecast) and forecasts are predicting the flows to decrease on 9/25/2014 according to the Smith River flow, which is not dammed.

Fishing Report (Lower Klamath River/ Lower Trinity River)

The Fall Run Chinook are moving up the Klamath River and into the Trinity River. River fishing reports have been great on the Lower Klamath River and from the Trinity River confluence in Weitchpec to Del Loma (Trinity River Map).  Fishing for half-pounders and adult steelhead have been good too.

Fishing Report (Upper Trinity River)

The Fall Salmon are arriving to the upper Trinity River with the Fall Steelhead are following behind them.
