Ocean Fishing Report 10/13/2014


The ocean conditions were flat beginning last week which meant for good fishing and then became windy later into last week/ weekend.

Weather reports are showing 100% chance of rain starting on Tuesday afternoon (10/14/2014) and continuing into the weekend.

Albacore Tuna Report

There are some reports of Albacore tuna about 50-60 miles out of Eureka at the beginning of last week but there have not been any recent reports. Still waiting for warm clear water. Sea Surface Temperature can be found on the Ocean Marine Forecast page.

Pacific halibut

There have not been any good halibut reports since the beginning of October.

Rockfish/ Ling Cod

Ocean fishing for Rockfish and Ling Cod (21-24″) were great last week Oct 6-10, but recent ocean conditions have been windy with large swells and there has been little ocean fishing since.
