Recreational Ocean Salmon Closes Sept. 7, 2014


RECREATIONAL OCEAN SALMON CLOSES SEPTEMBER 7, 2014

The recreational fishery for ocean salmon is open from May 10, 2014 through September 7, 2014. The daily bag limit is 2 salmon of any species except coho, with a minimum size limit of 24 inches total length. No more than two daily bag limits may be in possession when on land. On a vessel in ocean waters, no person shall possess or bring ashore more than one daily bag limit.

This area comprises the Klamath Management Zone. Anglers should be conscious of closures at the mouths of the Klamath and Smith rivers throughout the season, as well as a closure at the mouth of the Eel River during August and September.
