Not much going on for fishing, so we are providing a river conditions update.
All rivers have dangerously high flows and are extremely turbid, except for the Smith River which has some blue color and should be shaping up for fishing within several days. Over the past two weeks, Humboldtfish.com has visited all coastal rivers from the Chetco to Middle Fork Eel River. Beginning last week, there were many anglers trying their luck while flows continued to decline. The recent rain event filled the river banks as waterfalls and tributaries were seen flowing everywhere.
The lagoons remain a good option while rivers have poor visibility and are dangerously high. Stone Lagoon breached recently and an angler was seen near the sand spit on 2/10.
